the LEDs are still operated at the same voltage and current as during full light output

Fluorescent lights do not dim and often contain a warning on the package to not use the products on a dimming system. Dimming a CFL can cause serious damage to a product that contains mercury. This presents a potential environmental hazard in your home or business. While LED lights are completely safe and have no harmful elements like mercury, most are not dimmable. Because LED lights are a significant investment, it is important to ensure the lights you buy will work on your dimming system. Some manufacturers claim to have dimmable LED lighting solutions. All too often, consumers spend hundreds of dollars on a LED lights only to find out later that the products do not work on US dimming systems.

Green Lighting LED dimmable solutions last for 50,000 hours, retrofit standard fixtures at a fraction of the energy usage, and utilize the most updated dimming technology in the industry. Dimming does not result in a loss of efficiency. During dimming, the LEDs are still operated at the same voltage and current as during full light output. In addition, lamp life is not affected by dimming, as is sometimes the case with frequently dimmed fluorescent lighting. Rather, dimming LEDs may lengthen the useful life of LEDs, because dimming can reduce operating temperatures inside the light source. Our products are the highest quality, do not flicker and do not produce harmonic distortion on most standard dimming systems.

So as a consumer, how do you know if an LED lighting products works on incandescent dimming systems? Green Lighting LED agrees with the saying – seeing is believing. Green Lighting LED has conducted a series of tests comparing our LED lighting solutions with standard dimming systems available commercially. A series of videos are now available online to view and compare multiple products on different dimmers. Green Lighting LED is lighting the way to green technology.

The superior optical design yields productive beam lumens providing smooth, even illumination, excellent cutoff and extremely low glare. Consuming less than 15W, ...

Semiconductor lighting industry in Shenzhen develops rapidly in recent years

Orion’s LED fixture, designed to perform at temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit, has been retrofitted in more than 3 million square feet of freezer and cold-storage space in facilities across the nation in the past several months. Companies with Orion LED technology in their facilities include US Foods, Sysco, Americold, and Save-A-Lot. The three approved Orion LED fixture models vary based on application-specific lens configuration. Orion’s LED fixtures are designed to replace traditional high intensity discharge and T8 and T5 fluorescent fixtures. Orion’s LED fixtures use 123 watts compared to 400-watt HIDs and 298-watt fluorescents. According to its Web site, the DLC is a collaboration of utility companies and regional energy efficiency organizations committed to raising awareness of the benefits of efficient lighting in commercial buildings. In order to be included on the DLC’s QPL, a product must meet or exceed specific industry standards. QPL inclusion is required for c...

Entertainment applications will adopt the new LEDs

The number and breadth of applications that require amber LEDs is tremendous,” said Frank Harder, VP of Product Marketing at Philips Lumileds. “Markets including automotive, entertainment, roadway, signaling, and many others use amber LEDs. With better efficiency and more light output, LUXEON Rebel PC amber makes it that much easier to reduce energy consumption with an environmentally friendly product.lamps to LEDs because they didn’t produce enough light and couldn’t operate effectively at higher temperatures. With the advances provided by LUXEON Rebel PC Amber, yellow traffic signals will be converted, warning lights and beacons on vehicles and obstructions will switch and entertainment applications will adopt the new LEDs. numbers of amber LEDs. With LUXEON Rebel PC Amber, manufacturers will be able to use fewer LEDs and lower other component costs because of the improved light output and particularly the stable color over temperature, something that has been problematic for many ...
