This contract represents Dialight’s first large rig order and consists of a combination of Class I, Div 1 and  Class I, Div 2 fixtures, along with the associated mounting bracket accessories. As the industry’s only certified provider of these particular type of Class I, Div 1 products, Dialight was uniquely placed to offer the customer a tailored lighting solution appropriate for hazardous environments.

We believe that this order is just the beginning of what we see as a major growth area for our LED fixtures. We are rapidly expanding our operations and sales forces in regions such as Brazil, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South-East Asia, among others, to take advantage of the opportunity in the oil & gas market. There are a huge number of drilling rigs around the world with the potential for integrating LED lighting suitable for hazardous locations and Dialight is particularly well-positioned to service that market.
