Reportedly, Phillips’ LED Linear high bay light has been installed in Phoenix Children's Hospital, to create an escape for the hospital's patients and families and a distraction from the medical ailments surrounding them.
The lighting design of the project was led by Dallas-based Scott Oldner Lighting Design using innovative interior and exterior LED lighting from Philips Color Kinetics.
The lighting solution from Philips Color Kinetics was used to outline the building's distinctive architectural fins, while creating a visual canvas to display artistic animated colour displays.
Long ribbons of LED fixtures were also featured down the front of the building, continuing into the lobby area.
The visual surprise is continued inside with the initial idea of an indoor wall fountain replaced with floor to ceiling textured acrylic and led high bay light for cost and practicality concerns. This resulted in the creation of a wavy water-like effect with shades of blue and aqua.
