the majority of customer needs in terms of light output

Peak luminance is boosted 2.5 times and enhanced by intelligent peak luminance control - assures stunningly bright whites, while the wide dynamic range achieved by backlight luminance adjustment delivers a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, assuring deep, detailed blacks.LED block array divides display into 512 separate areas - this increase enables much closer management of image contrast and brings out image detail to the full. Better backlight control also sharpens edge detail and the textural effect of adjacent areas of brightness and darkness.

Reference design development by Future Lighting Solutions included extensive work to define ideal target performance specifications for each application to ensure that the designs meet the majority of customer needs in terms of light output, light uniformity, system efficacy, lifetime and cost.

All LUXEON Rebel LEDs, power solutions, standard optics, heat sinks and connectors included in the reference designs are available at Future Lighting Solutions to enable the implementation of the LED-based luminaires for prototyping or volume production.

Complete system solutions are necessary to accelerate the transition to solid state lighting in the general lighting market. That includes eliminating the need for lighting designers to constantly reinvent the wheel as well as providing a single source for led high bay light,” said Patrick Durand, Future Lighting Solutions Worldwide Technical Director. “These reference designs are another significant step on both fronts.

The acquisition expands Johnson Controls lighting services beyond the school

Patriot Taxiway Industries, Inc stepped into aerospace and aeropart manufacturing a little over 20 months ago in Omro, Wisconsin, then transferred to a superior manufacturing plant in Lomira, Wisconsin. Patriot Taxiway president and vetrepreneur, Steven A. Smits, who served in the U.S. Air Force and is still enlisted in the Air National Guard, had a lot weighing on the fulfillment of their first contract. The team comprised of more than 70% veterans, produced and delivered all 2,000 remotely controlled lighting systems on schedule to their international destinations. Smits credited their manufacturing efficiency and the quality of the LED products they provide to the veterans and other team members. The acquisition expands Johnson Controls lighting services beyond the school, healthcare and government markets it currently serves as NES provides lighting upgrade and maintenance solutions largely for retail, commercial, and industrial customers. Johnson Controls also will provide effecti...

Semiconductor lighting industry in Shenzhen develops rapidly in recent years

Orion’s LED fixture, designed to perform at temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit, has been retrofitted in more than 3 million square feet of freezer and cold-storage space in facilities across the nation in the past several months. Companies with Orion LED technology in their facilities include US Foods, Sysco, Americold, and Save-A-Lot. The three approved Orion LED fixture models vary based on application-specific lens configuration. Orion’s LED fixtures are designed to replace traditional high intensity discharge and T8 and T5 fluorescent fixtures. Orion’s LED fixtures use 123 watts compared to 400-watt HIDs and 298-watt fluorescents. According to its Web site, the DLC is a collaboration of utility companies and regional energy efficiency organizations committed to raising awareness of the benefits of efficient lighting in commercial buildings. In order to be included on the DLC’s QPL, a product must meet or exceed specific industry standards. QPL inclusion is required for c...
